Lenna
For those of you who use CoQ10 to boost your energy and mental concentration, what dosage and what brand of CoQ10 do you take? My son's doctor told him that he could try CoQ10, but didn't have a dosage recommendation. This is for a 16 year old who is 120 lbs so I'm thinking of starting him on a very small dose (50 mg.) , but I'm also wondering if some brands are more reliable than others.-Lenna
Gena
Lena,I weigh less than your boy does, but I started out at 30mg, then went to 60mg and now I'm at 100mg per day.I take Vitacost brand. Here is the link http://www.vitacost.com/products/ToCoQ10.cfmVery absorbable and they have great prices and high quality.Gena
mkoven
I'm taking it for migraines-- 200mgs a day. Some take 300. It's pricey, though.
ellepee
Hi,I weigh a little more than your son. I actually take 1200mg a day so it is quite pricey for me. I've been told by my doctor to take it in 2 doses, both before noon. I used to get it from the Puritan's Pride website, but now use Vitaline brand. (Vitaline and Epic4Health are apparently 2 bioenhanced and widely recommended brands) I'm taking it for mitochondrial disease but the majority of my symptoms are related to the autonomic nervous system.~Elle
