Maxine
I can't get into any full text articles on mid medulla lesions, but I found the brain stem has a lot to do with ANS function, as I have stated before. I can't believe a neurologist once told me the brain stem has nothing to do with ANS dysfunction. Where did he take his anatomy/physiology courses??http://www.springerlink.com/content/648j73708n417p71/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medulla_oblongatahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medulla_oblongataI'm tired, and wanted to find more----------- these are pretty basic.Since my neurologist spotted a lesion on my MID Medulla a while ago, I have wanted to look up some information on this. There are a few small lesions on my peri-ventricular area of brain also, but this was spotted when she did another MRI to see if there were any changes with the other lesions. This lesion on mid medulla was spotted on two MRIs from 2006, and 2007.I have sleep apnea, and I was told this was structual----obstructive, but I think there is more to it, as I don't fit the typical "stereo typed profile".Maxine :0)
