Do Falls/crashes Bring On The Beast?

Has anyone noticed an exacerbation of symptoms after a fall and/or car crash or other jarring physical experience?

Basically anything that causes additional stress to your body- certainly a car crash counts!- can cause an episode. I defintely did notice this the last time I was rear-ended- also, every time I get a cold, lose sleep, or whatever else.

I know a woman who seemed to develop fibromyalgia after a car crash. It's not exactly the same thing as POTS, but people with FMS also tend to have a lot of autonomic problems.

I tend to feel worse the more stressed out I am, whether it's physical stress or mental stress.

Stress can cause me to go from relatively unsymptomatic, to having multiple POTS symptoms.

I was in a car accident on 2/13/06 that has caused my NCS to go into overdrive. I am expecting my power wheelchair this month and have been in a manual wheelchair since July of 2006 because of it. i did get therapy and chiropratic care for 4 months, but i am getting increasingly worse instead of better.

from the accident i have a bulging disk, and my SI joint is messed up making everything worse.

Hi,

Any physical stress I get increases my symptom. Even going to the ER increases my symptoms.
