pastordari
Until recently (less than a year, I think) these meds were simply called "atypical" antidepressants.SNRI is a new term so not too unusual not to have heard it before.I am currently tapering off effexor XR and slowly getting on cymbalta. My autonomic doc suggested it, says she has better results with cymbalta. My psychiatrist told me effexor only works as a norepinephrine reuptake med in high doses (300mg and above). Cymbalta works on both neurotransmitters at all doses.I'm no expert, but this is what my team is telling me.Dari
