DSM3KIDZ
My doc said I could use compression hose in the winter and midodrine in the summer. Does that mean compression hose does the same thing as midodrine?does anyone do midodrine and compression hose at the same time?Dayna

scarfgirl
Yes, compression hose give very similar effects to midodrine. That doesn't mean you can't use both at the same time if you need too. I tend to overheat quickly with the hose, even in winter, so I mostly just stick to midodrine unless I'm cold and dizzy
jenwclark
I use both. I can get by without the hose as long as I'm taking Midodrine, and I can get by without the Midodrine as long as I'm wearing the hose. For the best results, though, I usually need both. Sunfish
they work under similar principles but not in the exact same way...i know i'm stating the obvious but one works chemically/pharmacologically & the other physically (not coming up with the exact word i wanted to use here). i have definitely used both at times & would now except that the hose make my GI issues much worse these days. melissa
