LHP
I went to the Mayo Clinic last week through the integrative medicine POTS clinic. I was found to have hyperadrenergic POTS (norepinephrine > 1000 on standing). My standing dopamine was also elevated. And 3 of the 4 autonomic reflex screening tests were abnormal suggesting autonomic neuropathy. The integrative medicine provider in the POTS clinic referred me for an autonomic neurology consult but when I called to schedule, they told me there was no availability. It seems that a lot of people on these forums have been evaluated and seen autonomic specialists at Mayo Clinic for a full interpretation and treatment plan for their POTS. How did you get in with the autonomic specialists there for a consultation?
MomtoGiuliana
Hopefully someone w experience can answer your question but I wanted to refer you if not or if helpful to our physician list. There may be someone listed who would be helpful to you. I am unsure if Mayo would treat you or just do more testing, and if you are diagnosed, you do need treatment probably. https://www.dinet.org/physicians/
Sarah Tee
@LHP, that’s frustrating. Can you contact the person who referred you? Or perhaps there is a patient liaison officer or similar who can help.
MikeO
I was going to say contacting patient relations but on facebook i see this all the time with Mayo and personally ran into the same scenario at UW madison.
