Today, I want to say how much I appreciate the kindness and helpfulness of everyone here. I was in a Facebook support group just because it is handy for getting local info for Australia, and although there are lots of good people there, I’ve quit today because of a small no. of people harassing me and giving me unsolicited (and really bad) medical advice. (I reported it to the moderators of the group but nothing seemed to come of it so I decided to leave.) Hopefully I have all the local info I need by now. Everyone here does a great job of providing support, pointing people towards good resources, and making practical suggestions. Exactly what a patient support group should do.
