MikeO
I have been really pushing back on my care team as of late as to if food is giving me a problems. So far i have been very aggressive in taking vitals (bp/hr) and have been able to show when i eat my blood pressure tanks. What gets me if i eat anything acidic (latest was some spicy salsa) my skin gets tacky and feel the need to wash my hands frequently in fact my hands will start peeling. If i refrain from the acidic food my skin is as smooth a baby's butt. Has anyone run into this? just asking.
TCP
Yes. Many have mast cell/histamine issues. I’ve had to radically overhaul my diet to cope. I also get reactions to meds and household items like cleaning products and toiletries. I eat low carb, no sugar, dairy, caffeine, spices, gluten or processed. I eat low histamine foods. I take a antihistamine if I can’t avoid certain foods like in hospital etc. i supplement where possible.
