Guest ANCY
Thank you Issie, I don't think they will use this type suture on me again if possible. Since yesterday the wound has come almost completely apart, there are only 2 places about 1 centimeter thick still attached and they don't look good either. Thankfully the dehiscene is not terribly deep in most places so think it will be ok, just leave a rather large scar. I know my surgeon wants to pull the suture early because with being allergies it is not healing well. Right now my nurse said it's the only thing keeping the whole wound from becoming a big gaping hole. Per my nurse, I will be goin back in to see the surgeon tommorow so she can see how much it has come apart and get orders for it to be packed. On the good side though most of the infection seems to have drained so hopefully have turned the corner since the antibiotic seems to be working now. Yeah! Thank you all for the advice and well wishes!
