Sheri Lynn
Finally got a diagnosis today.Specialist told me I have Generalized Autonomic dysfunction and ortho static hypotension. Seems harder to find info on autonomic dysfunction then it is for the specific disorders. Any suggestions ? Starting proponolol 30th tomorrow and having a emg test for nerve damage. I'm open to any and all advice since it looks like I'll have this issue from here on out

Sunshinegirl
very happy your search is finally over. Did they tell you what the EMG test is comprised of? I have had 2, each from different doctors. One was ok and the other was not and I had to sleep for 22 hours after. Be prepared to relax and not have big plans afterward just in case you are too tired. If you use Google Scholar, you might find better but more complicated to read results for your search inquiry. I never use a regular search engine if I really want to know something past how to boil an egg.
SarahA33
Hi Sheri Lynn, I know you've been looking for answers for a while now, I'm really glad that you've found them. Propranolol has been a really great medication for me, a lot of times it takes trial and error to find med's that work for us. I do hope that you find some relief with it soon.Katie provided you some really helpful links... "The Treatment of Autonomic Dysfunction" by Dr. Freeman is a really good one. I saved that one as a favorite!Good luck at your upcoming tests!Sarah
