Gemma
Hi everyone. I have a hematologist appointment tomorrow. I went to see infection specialist, but he said to go see hematologist to make sure that there is no underlying cancer or something. I never been to a hematologist. Does anyone have any advise on what I should ask him and what tests I should ask to do. Just a short story of my on set. Had miscarriage in Jan 2012, few presyncope episodes, then Nov 2012 got really sick and was told in hospital its mono, but later found out that the test they ran doesn't show if mono was active at that point, since that november gradually started developing POTS symptoms. Sick until now. Does anyone have any suggestions what I should ask the doctor. Thank you all very much.
corina
Hi Gemma, as I haven't seen a hematologist I can't help you with that, just thought to wish you best of luck and hope you will find some answers!
looneymom
Tyler has not been seen by this doctor either, but I would bring any past test results and maybe type up a time line of your medical illness. It's a lot of work but worth the effort. With Tyler's, I included any copies of test results I could find and sent it ahead of time to the doctor. Of course this does not help, if the doctor does not take time to look at the information or his staff will not give the fax to the doctor or put it in the patients file. I've had that experience with new doctors. Good luck and hope the appointment is helpful. Oh. BTW, if you do the time line, have a hard copy with you just in case if never gets into the file. Christy_D
My son is treated by a hematologist for his MCAS, but never saw one for his POTS.
