westernmass
Hi allI took a urine test to look at neurotransmitter levels via my alternative doc. The results came back with LOW levels of epinephrine, norepinephrine, PEA, and GABA. I am currently trailing supplements to raise those levels to normal, but am fundamentally confused as to what low levels of those four things implicates. I have a basic knowledge of the definition of each, but not what that pattern may mean for me and my pots??Any help very appreciated! Katybug
I don't know the answer to your question but have gotten some good info regarding the results of lab tests at labtestsonline.org.
westernmass
Thanks, Katybug. I'm looking for more of an understanding of what the pattern of those 4 being low might imply for my pots, rather than what each individually means...?? badhbt
I was wondering if the supplements were helping? Has anyone taken a Gaba supplement?
westernmass
No, I stopped taking them after a month. I maybe possibly felt a teeny more awake during the day and maybe possibly felt a teeny bit better sleep, but totally not worth it personally to be taking all those pills and not feeling any different. I think I wanted them to help more than anything. Still not sure what the test results indicate, if anything. Having pots is so frustrating.
