Amelia
Has anyone had trouble with itching after starting on a beta blocker? I was on propanolol 10 mg twice a day-had itching. Just switched to Nadolol 5 mg twice a day and now I am itching again. I am wondering if this is a symptom that will go away with time? Guest Alex
Amelia,I did and still do experience some head to toes itching. It's an on/off thing - but I have days when it's pretty bad.My dr doesn't think it's related to the propranolol, but he couldn't find any other reason for it either.Alex
issie
Beta blockers can cause a histamine release from mast cells. You could be having issues with mast cell over-response. Those of us with MCAS can't use betas.Issie
