issie
I ran across a very interesting - although very technical thread. (I found out that it's okay to post forum links before I posted this.) But, I find this fascinating. I will have to read it over many times before I completely understand it. But, there seems to be some close connections between ME/CFS and POTS and possibly there are autoantibodies partially to blame. I think you'll like this one. And one of our own is participating in it. issie
Many of us have issues with hormonal things - interesting that estriol is being used in both men and women to help with auto-immunity, It was also suggested that DHEA might be of benefit. Has anyone looked into this supplement? I know that as far as hormone replacement for me the only one I've been able to tolerate - is compounded estriol cream - everything else gave me horrible symptoms. I do have auto-immune issues - vitiligo and alopecia - so there may be others. Interesting ideas on this thread.Issie
skiberthoud
I don't seem to have auto-immune issues and I don't have any experience with DHEA, but if they are saying that there is benefit from estriol then it would make sense that there could also be from DHEA since it is a precursor to estrogen. But I really have nothing else to add to this, Issie...just wanted to say something I did read that thread and thought it was interesting... Annaliese
My personal opinion is that autoimmune disease is responsible for most of us on here being ill. Just look at the comorbid AI diseases listed on people's profiles. It is well known that if you have one AI disease then you are more likely than the average person to have another. pat57
I am on Norpace which effects the Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptors, and that is why it works for me.
