Lemons2lemonade
It's getting to the point where every day I wake up, I am getting more and more paresthesia in my arms and legs. Why is this happening when I am flat in bed ? Also, I am not laying weird on them... What is my body doing at night to cause this to happen? klcowley
Mine do that too, but it is more when I am going to sleep. Interesting. I don't know why!
jangle
Lemons you could try wearing a hand splint before you go to bed. It will protect your median nerve from the natural curling of the hand during sleep. Edited February 12, 2012 by corina
FarmerAmy
I often have this, too. It is usually when I am lying on my side. The arm that is under me is the one that goes to sleep. I have just attributed it to reduced circulation.
bunny
I'll sometimes wake up in the middle of the night or morning with this as well. I've always written it off as a circulation issue. I don't have a lot of body fat and had a firmer mattress at the time.I've also had occasional temporary paralysis of a leg accompanying the numbness. Only happened twice in the past 10 years, but scared me. No cause ever found on those. Full feeling and function came back on the leg after being up for a new minutes.
