Cleveland Clinic Appointment

Anyone know what I should expect?

I have heard mixed reviews, but its the closest place that has some sort of knowledge of POTS.

Any info would be appreciated.

I see two doctors at CC. I like them both. My cardio at CC has done the most to help me keep the HR down.

Who are you seeing, or what department if you don't want to say which doc?

The clinic is nice, the people are courteous and helpful for the most part.

I think I am seeing Dr. Fouad, but I may just be seeing someone in the same department? The lady that did my scheduling said it would probably span a few days, with the QSART and office visit on the first day.

May I ask which cleveland clinic are you going to? I have an appointment in January at cleveland clinic in westin fl and have never been there before for pots.

Ok, so you are going to the autonomic doctors, that is good.

Testing there is done well, in my opinion. I did not feel mistreated or rushed or anything. People were very nice and understanding. Did you find a place to stay? We usually stay at the Inter-Continental (not the suites, but a step up from the guest house) when we go. They have shuttles that will take you where you need to go at the clinic. If you have AAA, that will discount your room rate at any of the hotels.

If you have an appt in Jan, pm me. I have one in January. If we are there at the same time maybe we could meet up!

I live in PA, but I am originally from Cleveland, and my family still lives there- so I already have a place to stay. hehe.

I'm very nervous about the testing- but as I've said in the past- I'm mostly concerned that they say nothing is wrong with me.

Dr. Fouad is excellent on diagnosis but treatment is not what she does, in my experience. However, I did have some negative experiences with her. Feel free to send me a PM for more information.

I agree with Angelika with how nice they were taking their time and ordering a battery of tests to try to find the underlying cause of my dysautonomia. I was actually diagnosed at the Cleveland Clinic by a TTT and QSART with Orthostatic Hypotension Dysautonomia, Autonomic Neuropathy. To date, it is idiopathic in nature and the symptoms are being treated with Mestinon & Midodrine. I see Dr. Robert Shields at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. I like him very much.
