Serbo
Does anyone wear these day to day as opposed to medical compression tights?I am a guy so would rather wear something like:http://www.wiggle.co.uk/2xu-compression-tights-ss11/Than full medical compression. Wondering if these are as good? Thanks
Annaliese
Woah, youre gonna look hot in those!
kluesyk
Yes, a sports type compression hose from ankle to waist is all I can tolerate (others too tight and I don't have enough strength to pull them up) and IT DOES help me, so I would say go for it. Serbo
Thanks guys. Plan is to wear them underneath clothes. Think I'd look a bit odd otherwise walking round the office at work with those bad boys on!
Brye
I've been wanting to try some sports compression pants out. I'll have to check these out. I have a love/hate relationship with the comp hose. Great question.Brye
abnel
I love my sports compression hosiery but they have even more compression than the medical compression hosiery and I can only tolerate them for short stints. Fantastic for working out though and for those really bad days.
Brye
Lotusflower, what strength medical compression hose do you wear? I was worried the sports ones wouldn't have enough compression. Thanks!Brye
kclynn
Good topic. I have been wondering about these for my son as well. I see in the category when you look them up they are listed as compression tights but then some just say running tights. Do they all do pretty much the same. And of course there are different brands and prices. There were some Adidas for around $40 - would they do as well (for the potsys) as say the the $90? Serbo
I bought the same ones in the end from ebay for quite a bit cheaper. Seller is in US and im in UK but still cheaper than the original link i posted, will let you know how i gohttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200670022270?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_500wt_1156
kclynn
We use Ebay a lot. Probably easier once you know the exact brand and size though.
abnel
Hi Brye, I use 20-30 mmHg medical compression hosiery but only when I feel I need the extra support. I did wear them for a week at one point and felt like the effectiveness was waning plus I got athlete's foot. The sports compression tights are great because they are footless. I got them from wiggle.co.uk and I think the brand is Orca. Very high compression though and if I wear them too long there is a build up of pressure in my chest. Brye
Thanks, I need to look into these. I hate buying things on the internet, I'm an hands on buyer. Maybe I can find a local running/sporing good store to check them out. Thanks for all the info!!Brye
