Chaos Posted September 29, 2010 Report Share Posted September 29, 2010 I've taken it for cold sores and it didn't seem to make my POTS symptoms worse. However, I've been using Abreva (topical) the last couple times and it worked great. I actually did the Valtrex (1 pill, 2xday, 1 day only) along with the Abreva and it seemed to get rid of the cold sore much faster than just with the Valtrex.
