jenwic Posted May 30, 2010 Report Share Posted May 30, 2010 I take Florinef every day. My dr. prescribed Diflucan for thrush in my throat (caused by my steroid inhaler). When I tried to take the Diflucan, my heart kept getting these electrical shock feelings in it all day and night, then my heart would race. I was also weak in my muscles with lots of muscle twitches. I found one medicine website that said you should not mix Florinef with an azole antifungal, which is what Diflucan is. It mentioned it could effect your heart rhythm. No other sites mentioned the interaction. I have taken Diflucan before with no problem. I wonder if there really is an negative drug interaction between the two. Have any of you had any problems?I also tried Nystatin yesterday which made me short of breath and my chest tight. Do any of you know of any more antifungals to try?
