Pots Doctor

Recommended Posts

I would first try to get a doctor and diagnosis in state. If that doesn't work, Mayo or Vanderbilt are good options.

I've been to Vanderbilt and had a very good experience there. They do a few tests and then you have an outpatient appointment. It's all done in one day. They will listen to your long story, give you a diagnosis based on the autonomic testings, and will send you off with a treatment plan.

You're also going to need a doctor back home who is willing to do follow up care. Places like Mayo and Vanderbilt can be helpful for getting to the bottom of the problem, but they don't offer routine follow up visits.

I hope you can find a good doctor and the right diagnosis.

I don't know where you live, but if it's anywhere near California, or the bay area, Dr. Karen Friday at Stanford University, Palo Alto, is a very good specialist in Dysautonomia and she works with the experts from Mayo and Vanderbilt. She blew me and my mom away with her knowledge and investigative skills, and she had me figured out in under 3 hours. She spent a LOT of time with us. So I recommend her personally if you are more near CA.
