Will Medicare Pay For I.v.s

Dumb question maybe but it's like this...very dehydrated these days..showed up a couple months ago on visit to my ANS doc (he is an hour drive from me) I pushed fluids a few days after that and it helps..but in cold house in winter, TOUGH to drink cold fluids or cool room temp filtered water, you know?

I am thinking of "trying" a bag or two of saline (IF the hospital will give it to me S L O W L Y,,if they speed up the process, I will just pee it back out)

If I ask my doc for this via email, is it possible MEDICARE will let me go to the hospital lab and Recieve IV's...i am so woozy I can hardly stand and drinking ENOUGH water/ gatorade makes me nauseated.

I ONLY have medicare, no other supplemental insurance, btw.

I know many of you get IVs regularly or as needed...how does this work for insurance purposes?

My doc is pretty good at accomadating me....I am thinking getting the IV's and if I start to pee it all back out, THEN take DDAVP --after the fact, to help me hold onto the remaining fluids...as I am aware of the water intoxication issue. ( i have taken DDAVP for years and no problem)

Thanks for any tips to ask for this. . .
