Angelika_23
My husband just noticed that my left arm and leg are darker in color than the right. I am having some pretty severe left sided pain in my limbs mostly. None in my abdomen. Could this be a problem with circulation? If so, is that a big deal? Haven't slept in three nights because of the pain, but don't want to go to ER tonight. Thanks,Angela
ramakentesh
The darkening you report is actually common in POTs but its usually reserved for the legs on standing. it probably relates to either excessive venous pooling due to impaired baroreflex or is a kind of raynauds where excessive norepinephrine has dilated the veins to an excessive degree trapping blood in there. If your really worried go to the ER. It does sound strange. But as a POTs patient dont be surprised if they shrug if its nothing serious. POTs is a weird disease alright! Shimoda
Yea I have that pooling too. What side were you sleeping on? Maybe you had severe pooling that in some way damaged your vessels.
