  1. I have been reading the boards for a long time and never posted until now. I have found it interesting that so many of the young people (especially young women) seem to have an onset of their syncope episodes (pre diagnosis of NCS, POTS, etc.) with activity. For example, quite a few people have posted that their symptoms began with their involvement in theater or dance. Many are or were on the path to careers in the arts when struck with disautonomia. Can anyone shed a light on the relationship between syncope and intense/strenuous activity? Why is it that so many artists (actors, dancers, musicians) seem beset by syncope? Could there be a link to adrenalin surges?
