Has anyone with POTS or other forms of Dysautonomia tried TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation)? I started last week for major depressive disorder, but I'm not sure if it is a good fit due to my POTS. There is not much research I can find about TMS for POTS patients. Since the idea is to "wake up" the brain, I'm a little concerned there might be a negative impact as I already really struggle with hyperarousal. I had one treatment and left with extreme dizziness and brain fog, and I experienced twitching in my hand for the next few days. This all happens with my POTS so I'm worried treatment may increase symptoms.
I would love to hear from anyone who has gone through this treatment or any literature about dysautonomia and TMS people may have found! Thank you!
