  1. Good afternoon all! I originally started looking for more sites on POTS because i am 6 months pregnant, in the military and there is NO INFORMATION out there on being pregnant and dealing with POTS at the same time. My cardiologist and high risk pregnancy Dr. are perplexed at what type of birth would be best (C-Section/Vaginal) and also whether or not an epidural is ok. Also, I am just wondering if anyone has experienced being pregnant and having this condition at the same time, its very frustrating. Good news is that my baby BOY has been growing perfectly so far and there is seemingly no complications with him (Thank God!) If anyone has been pregnant and had POTS PLEASE HELP!!!! Have a blessed day everyone!
  2. Geneva: Yes, I am in good ol Killeen Texas, stationed at Fort Hood. It is very difficult managing military and POTS! MY Dr has me on a strict regiment that designates what i can and cannot do. I am on a 4 hour day work schedule, and in the process of being medically retired because of POTS. My office has the AC on constantly for me, because TX is so hot!! I have noticed that heat only makes the symptoms so much worse, so TX and me are trying to get along but were struggling.
  3. I am new here and just recently posted yesterday. I found myself drawn to this website constantly, just to read about others who suffer the SAME way. It is a complete comfort to know that I am not crazy in the head with these off the wall symptoms. I am stationed in Texas and no one on my base has been diagnosed, so explaining to others my condition, is really difficult. But I guess that is something that we all share and have in common. I just wish our condition could be labeled anything other than POTS , has anyone else gotten the funny looks when you say the name of your condition? LOL I certainly have! Well this was a thanks to all who POST and share their stories, God Bless and have a great day!
  4. Thank you for those! I have POTS, and about 10 minutes ago, i just found out my husband (who takes care of me) is on orders to Korea. God is always in control, so I have to have faith in that. By reading those things, it was so nice to laugh out loud!
  5. Im in the military and so is my husband, I was diagnosed with POTS about 8 months ago. My symptoms are really severe and I feel as if there is no one out there who has a clue! Does anyone else have difficulty standing? walking? It seems as if my dear husband has to do so much. My Doctor said I am unable to drive, so that puts more of a pressure. I feel relieved that its not fatal or a worse disease, but does POTS leave anyone else as frustrated as I am?
