Hello Board, Ive been browsing for a while now and just decided to introduce myself and ask a few questions. Im a 24 year old female, I was diagnosed with POTS in July 2007, this was after a sudden onset of dizziness and many other symptoms. I am currently taking Lopressor 25mg, ProAmatine 5 mg, and Florinef 0.1 mg daily. I need some dental work done, root canals, cavity fillings and Ive been told I have periodontals(sp?) disease. I am very concerned with the medications they use to numb the mouth. I know there are different types of numbing agents you can use, but the dentist I went to didnt even know what POTS was so this further discouraged me. I dont know if I will be ok with the regular numbing agent or not. What do you guys suggest I do and how I go about it? I have many other questions but I dont want to bombard you guys all in one post. And I also cant remember them at the moment because I am very afraid of going to the dentist and having to be numb by someone who doesnt understand the condition at all Thanks in advance
