  1. I was told they dont from many specialists. Has anyone here recovered?
  2. My main worry is Preeclampsia. If I do in fact have something wrong with my ANS would it likely lead to pre-e or do you think its completely isolated? Maybe some info on pregnancy and pots would help...I cant seem to find much though esp. the hyper form.
  3. yes, but now on the meds I feel a bit better. I was getting extremely nasueated, felt the urge to go pee as soon as i stood up, saw floaters, head pressure, vomiting, out of breath, extreme anxiety, dizzy, crying...it was the most horrible ive ever felt!
  4. also while on the valium, I suffered from bradycardia, dizziness, out of breath, etc. which I saw a cardio for in 2011, and he told me that I needed to come off the benzos and things will return to normal, nothing wrong with my heart.
  5. Hi thanks for having me here. Long story short I came off Valium cold turkey in april 2012 and became pregnant in jan. of this year. I am still have some residual wd affects 14 months later..In my 8th/9th week of pregnancy my bp started to spike and doctors asked me if I have hypertension or what not and I told them no of course not bp was 115/75 last appt. and has always been my whole life. So around 13 weeks I came in for another appt bp still high 140s/90s. I decided to invest in a BP machine and monitor at home. Well I started noticing a trend.. my bp would be 100/60 in supine position, 120/85ish sitting and 150/95 standing along with a heart rate increase of 30-40 bpm with any form of standing/exertion. Over the next couple weeks after seeing about 6 doctors all of them telling me its anxiety, in my head etc. my bp was getting worse and worse, with a 170/120 bp finally admitting me to the hospital. During my stay, I was given 100 mg of labetalol 2x per day which helped keep the swings lower, I also did a 24 hour urine to get a baseline for pre-eclampsia which came back at 70 (very good). After the hospital stay, I came home and over the next week started feeling better than ever and BPs ranging from 110s/70s to 120s/80s. After about a month my bp has kinda been resisting the meds and Ive been getting 130s/high 80s/90s still not as bad but enough to make me feel like pure **** at times. I am 24 weeks now and am looking for some insight/support. Anyone here gone through something similar? Does this sound like hyperpots? I saw a cardio 2 weeks ago and my bp decided to stay "nice" at 120/70 so he told me nothings wrong u have no dysautonomia, dysautonomia is only for type 1 diabetics, blah blah blah. To say the least it didnt go very well and Ill be seeing a neurologist on the 17th. If anyone has any success stories/info with a similar situation (spiking bp, meds, pregnancy, etc) please let me know and thanks again for having me here, I look forward to getting to know some of you!!
