  1. RobinB: Hope is always good! katyroq: I do suspect that I am sensitive to dairy, so that could very well be why this is helping me so much. I was a bit obsessed with cheese... I plan on reintroducing after the 30 days and finding out. I hope you can find something that works for you!
  2. That has definitely crossed my mind, and I'm sure there is a positive effect being added from the Wellbutrin. It's been about 10 weeks since I started that, but this change was so sudden and seems so strongly tied to what I eat during any given day that I'm hesitant to give too much credit to the Wellbutrin. Unless it finally decided to kick in on the exact day that I started the Whole 30. But I wouldn't rule out it having a small part in my feeling better.
  3. I've never posted here but have been lurking for a few years now. I was diagnosed with POTS in 2012 after going to see Dr. Moore at the MVP center in Birmingham, AL. Since then I have been taking Atenolol and Clonazepam. I starting taking Wellbutrin XL in November 2015. This is just for background info. For the past four months I had been having the roughest time in years dealing with my symptoms. I have a full-time job, but I was hardly functioning and struggling to make it through every day. If I wasn't at work, I was laying down. My brain fog was debilitating and I was constantly dizzy (brain fog and dizziness are my worst symptoms). I had gotten to the point where I was willing to try anything to feel better. My roommate had told me that she was about to start the Whole 30 eating plan and I decided to do it with her. I had been looking to clean up my eating habits anyway, and this seemed like a great way to do it. As a disclaimer though, I hadn't been eating great prior to this, which I know was contributing to my worsening symptoms. Hence the major need for a diet overhaul. I started my Whole30 on Feb. 1, so I am now on day 10. I feel fantastic. My brain fog is mostly gone and only really hits me if I stand for a long time. My legs feel so much more solid. That's kind of a weird description, but before this my legs felt so wobbly and I felt like I couldn't trust them to hold me up. This past Sunday I was even able to go outside and kick a soccer ball back and forth with friends without even thinking about my POTS. I'm also losing weight, and though that wasn't one of my main goals, I'm sure it is helping my body feel better too. My girlfriend mentioned to me last night that I have seemed so much better since day 1 of starting this than I had since she met me (September 2015). I have energy. I'm able to get things done around the house. I actually WANT to do things. I wanted to share this because I had hit a point where I was giving up hope about ever feeling better. I was depressed and dreading every day. Now my outlook is so much more positive, and all it took was something as simple as changing what I eat. I hope this helps someone else. The book It Starts With Food is a great resource, and feel free to ask me any questions about my experience so far.
