  1. Hi Members-- This is my first post. Here is the background: My husband is in his mid 50's and has had three fainting spells and many near faints in the past month. His doctor did a full set of blood tests and also ordered an EKG. Those all came out normal. Next he ordered a tilt table test and a 24 hour event (heart) monitor. He had the last Tuesday and they put the monitor on immediately afterwards. About 10 minutes into the first part of the test my husband said they asked him if he was feeling okay. He told them he felt nauseous and then the doctor monitoring the test told them to stop the test. (he is not sure if the doctor was the one that had them ask if he was okay) When he was brought down he did vomit into the container they gave him. After they brought me back there while he was getting hooked up for the monitor the tech told me that the test was stopped because he was getting pale and sweaty. I asked them if they would try again but they said no because the doctor stopped it. So the rest of the day my husband was sick and it continued into the next day which we thought was strange. The weekend before the test we were at a birthday party for one of our grandchildren. Well....come to find out that one of the other grandkids that was unusually quiet was coming down with some kind of flu bug. So my husband had the flu and that most likely increased the nausea he felt during the test. The flu has been over for 4 days but he is still having the dizziness that he had previously. He has an appointment on Tuesday and we are wondering if the flu will mess up the test one way or the other. Thanks in advance for your opinions.
