  1. hey guys thanks for the responses!!!! I was kinda thinking that it would make our types of systems more shaky...your responses have been helpful in deciding which drug to try next
  2. For those of you who have taken or take wellbutrin, what is your experience with it? I am specifically interested in people that have more Hyper-Adrenergic POTS. One would think that it would stimulant us HYPER folks, but I have read that it actually does the reverse effect by some action on dopamine, similiar to the ADD stimulant effect. I know Grubb recommends this drug, so I am curious about trying it. Any experiences?? Try and keep it focused and positive please, I need to stay openminded, not listen to some long rants, ok thanks! hope everyone is feeling ok Matt
  3. Hey all, I too, stare/gaze into the distance sometimes. I relate to what you are saying...and sometimes its hard to break out of the trance. I get it when I am just sitting or resting, my body sort of goes into repair mode, and my mind goes still. What has helped me with this is keeping my blood sugar up (like frequent snacks) and also keeping the salt intake up. Those seem to help with the stupor-like fog.
  4. Hi everyone, I took florinef for about 4 months and had some really negative reactions, despite the energy increases so I said goodbye to that drug. Because I have the hyperadrenergic form of POTS, I have recently been trying beta blockers (Propranolol seeming to work the best) and midodrine. I am on a low dose of both the propranolol and midodrine right now, which are giving me better BP and HR numbers than I used to have, but still not giving me that great of an energy lift. So I need to fine tune a little bit more. For those that have hyperadrenergic POTS, what medicine/medicines work best for you? Does anyone have experience with these two drugs together, or other ones that work well. Thanks, Matt
  5. I have had similar experiences to that on beta blockers (I am on propranolol right now too). I get that weird "stoned" type of feeling as the dose seems to wear off. For me, the effect does seem to fade the longer I've been taking it, and my body has picked up a rhythm where I can't really tell. And I second the small doses...those seem to help me...atleast in terms of feeling dizzy from the drug itself. hope that helps!
