Copper

Hi. Have any of you had your serum copper and/or ceruloplasmin levels checked? (mine are both low)

If you have, and if you've had **low** copper or Cp levels, please respond to this post and describe your values and any medical advise/experience you've had with this rare finding?

Never heard of this but I'm always open minded.

This sounds more like that disease called Wilson's disease if I recall...

I'm trusting your prescribing doctor is going to help you figure it out.

i don't have any personal experience to add but do know that Wilson's disease is in fact too MUCH copper accumulating throughout the body.

Hi Joe,

Both my daughter and I have dysautonomia,although not exactly similar symptoms . However it is interesting that she has had low copper ceruloplasmin and was at one time thought to have Wilsons Disease . I believe they ruled it unlikely after they did an eye exam and she was found not to have the copper deposits around her iris. We have put the low copper down to yet another odd dysautonomia symptom. I`m sorry I cant remember the exact values but they were significantly low and once the eye exam was done no further testing or treatment was considered.
