samip28
So just this past week my boyfriend noticed these white spots on my back. They're only on my back and don't itch or hurt. Has anyone else experienced spots on back? Could it be from the medicine? I have been on metoprolol for a little over a month, any suggestions on what it could be. We don't think its skin cancer and when j search online nothing comes up, thanks!
angelloz
I haven't had this but hope you figure it out. I remember in the past reading that non pigmented spots could be a sign of hypothyroid.

samip28
I'll look into hypothyroid. They are flat. Just randomly placed white, flat spots on my back. Theyre no where else on my body.
kellygirl
I also have white spots on my back and that is the only place I have them. The dermatologist told me that they are just areas of hypopigmentation in my skin and nothing to worry about. I have had hypothyroidism for over 20 years also, but the white spots have been a recent development.
samip28
kellygirl, thank you so much! I wasn't sure if I was getting some kind of reaction! I was going to talk to my doctor and ask her about. Thanks for taking that worry away
