nomdeguerre0850
Back in 2008, there was a thread about difficulty getting a bp reading on an automatic cuff when our bp dropped too low. I have this issue and know I have to take my bp manually when systolic is below about 80.I was wondering if the technology has improved in the last 6 years and an automatic cuff is now available for those of us with really low bp. How low can yours read before you get the error message?
Katybug
My wrist cuff I use at home has never error ed our when my bp is low...as low as 72/50. I do error out on the large automatic machines they have in doctor's offices. This generally terrifies the medical assistants. I tell them to use a manual cuff when I'm feeling bad. corina
My machine (Omron) catches 70/40's. You do need to keep very still as movement may cause erring. Hope this helps
