looneymom
Having too much of this is not a good thing and causes inflamation in the brain. It can be the cause of different forms of autoimmune encephalities. I am learning a great deal of information and thought it might help someone else. I have requested our doctor to run the NMDA Receptors Antibodies Encephalities blood test. It can also be done through a spinal tape. Here is some research about Kynrenic acid and how it affects the brain. Tyler's test came back high and I beginning to think this another piece of his POTS.http://www.corporamed.com/documentos/organix/articulos/Quinolinate-Kynurenate.pdfhttp://www.gla.ac.uk/media/media_276791_en.pdfhttp://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1471-4159.2008.05241.x/pdfhttp://www.intechopen.com/download/get/type/pdfs/id/26541

looneymom
Anyone been checked for Non-Paraneoplastic Limbic Encephalities? This causes tremors and the Kynrenic Acid also plays a role in this form of encephalities. Here is the research. Hope to be hearing from the doctor soon. I received an email form the research doctor stating that my son should be checked for this due to his last testing results. The doctors are collaborating about his condition. IVIG may be just around the corner for Tyler. Tyler's blood pressures are staying up but he is having more back pain. B-12 shots are not helping as much with the fatigue, so I'm worried that he is beginning to slip down again.http://www.jni-journal.com/article/S0165-5728(08)00179-3/fulltexthttp://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1469-8749.2008.03252.x/fullhttp://jcn.sagepub.com/content/early/2013/10/02/0883073813500527.abstract
