looneymom
I have been reserching Taurine and I am amazed at what Taurine does. Taurine helps build GABA and lower Glutamate. It helps regulate electroytes and many other things. I have been using a small dosage with Tyler and wonder if this may be helping. I am not seeing any side effects and Tyler's blood pressures are good. Tyler is down to one gram of salt tablets per day. Here are the articles. Happy reading.http://members.upnaway.com/~poliowa/Taurine%20Exercise.pdfhttp://www.nutri-spec.net/articles/PDF/taurine.pdfhttp://www.jbiomedsci.com/supplements/17/S1http://www.rlcure.com/glutamate2.html
Carrie
Thank you for this! The International Taurine Conference... I had to laugh... it sounds like such a specific topic to have a conference about, but it's amazing to see how many studies have been done in this field.I took taurine last summer and it helped tremendously with heart palpitations. I was taking it as part of a relaxation mixture that contained some other amino acids, and the mixture caused some unwanted mood side effects. I am considering trying just plain taurine again.I really hope that it is part of the answer for Tyler.
looneymom
So do I. It has been a very long haul for Tyler. I am getting ready to try a product called True Calm with Tyler at night. It has the GABA and Taurine combination in it. It's a low dosage of both and has a few other things to help with absorption.
corina
I'm very interested in this. I have loads of trouble keeping my bp up since having surgery last July. Esp systolic pressure won't come up, I'm stuck in between 90's and 110 at the very highest. I have a very hard time exercizing and think the low systolic may cause that. I will talk this over with my doctor, thanks for sharing all your articles Rachel and glad to hear Tyler's bp is up!!!
