castronovo112587
What's everyone's pulse pressure (difference between systolic and diastolic numbers) and does yours fluctuate quite a bit?
valiz
Rosie, my standing pulse pressures are narrow. They have been as low as 17 points. My lying B/P are higher and the pulse pressures are more like 40-60. Interestingly my diastolic pressures are usually a little higher standing but my systolic pressures are 20-30 points lower. I don't know what causes this or if this is indicating anything. Maybe someone else will chime in on the cause of low pulse pressures. valiz
castronovo112587
My pulse pressure sitting will be in the high 20s to mid thirties I don't even know what it is standing my omron will never register my bp while standing. I've been reading that many pots people have low pulse pressure due to low blood volume and I defintely notice that I feel worse when its lower and better when its in the high 30s
gjensen
When I have my spell my pulse pressures tighten and narrow. It can get a little too close and a little too far apart. It is up and down and eventually levels off. When I firt get moving around it will fluctuate and when I first go down. Eventually it levels out. Chaos
My lowest pulse pressure has been 8. It usually only gets this low when I'm in the midst of a major relapse in symptoms. Narrow pulse pressures are not uncommon in dysautonomia patients I've been told by my POTS specialist.
