My headaches will sometimes be one sided and sometimes not and sometimes my face near my cheeks and teeth will hurt. It's so hard to tell if its migraines or sinuses or what it is. Katybug Posted November 25, 2013 Report Share Posted November 25, 2013 I have migraines that cause my face, jaw, and neck to hurt. I am on depakote as a profilactic and maxalt as a rescue medication. I often have to take the maxalt and a tylenol and some small amount of caffeine to break a headache when I get one. (Like right now, unfortunately.). Then, I usually fall asleep about an hour after taking the maxalt and wake up about 2 hours later either headache free or at least with lessened pain.
