What Supplements Help Boost Your Immune System?

I know that vitamins A. C, E, Omega 3, and Zinc are helpful to boost the immune system. I have also started using a new probiotic that is formulated for the PANS/PANDAS child. I have also added digestive enzymes at meal times. I am beginning to find more research and md/specialist protocols for treating PANS/PANDAS. Much of the research I am finding is focusing in on the immune system. So I am concentrating on how to heal Tyler's gut. I have learned that IgA is made in the gut and cannot be made if the gut is inflamed constantly. Tyler does have trouble with constipation if I do not keep him on magnesium citrate. I would love to know if any of you have found a supplement or herb that seems to be real immune booster for you. Please share any good or bad experiences.

With Tyler, the doctor and I have learned to start with the lowest dosage and go slow. For some reason his body does not handle herbal supplements very well. The ALL DAY ENERGY GREEN drink lowered his blood pressure. This drink is made of herbs, so I do not add this to his normal green drink. He is over his double ear infection. Just wish the antibiotics would have made some of his other symptoms go away. He is also back sleeping through the night again. When the ear infection started, he stopped sleeping through the night. There has to be a clue here of why the extended release clonidine is helping with sleep. Tyler will be seeing a new neurologist next week that diagnosis and treats PANS/PANDAS. Hopefully we will get some answers and be headed in the right direction for treatment.

In the ME/CFS world where they are also looking at the immune system heavily, I am seeing some docs prescribing things like GcMaf, Inosine, and Immunovir . I don't have any personal experience with any of these but you might want to research them. I know several people who have had some improvement with them....especially the GcMaf.

The immunologist I see currently doesn't prescribe them, but many of the other specialists in the field do.
