Potsie0002
Hi,I am looking for recommendations for cardiologists, electrophysiologists, sleep, neurologists, and any other doctor in the DFW area that could help me with POTS. I have EDS, which complicates things. I am on the waiting list for Dr. Levine.I was told I need to rule out causes of POTs, including channelopathies, and I don't know how to do that or who can do that. One doctor referred me to the Mayo clinic and I am hesitant to spend so much money, time, and energy I don't have if there is a way to do it closer to home.Any input would be great!!Thanks so much!! Potsie0002
Thank you! Anyone know other specialists?
hshotwell
I will 2nd Dr. Suleman. When I did my research on POTS docs in DFW, the only ones I found were Dr Levine and Dr Suleman. I ended up going to Dr Suleman at The Heartbeat Clinic. I have been seeing him 1 1/2 years now. When I first came to him, he did the full battery of tests on me, to determine #1 if I had POTS and #2 the possible cause(s) of my POTS. I'm sure he can do whatever tests you need done. He is very thorough in that regard.
Potsie0002
Thanks, I got in to him. Can he help with sleep issues or do I need another specialist for that? Are there other doctors, such as internists who have experience with POTS in DFW?
nunntrio
Dr. Suleman does address sleep disorders in POTS patients, at least he did for me. If I remember correctly there is a sleep specialist he referred me to in the DFW area because he wanted mine sleep issues addressed further. I am from Houston and could not get back to see that Dr. I would wait for Dr. Suleman appointment and he can probably send you to someone who has deals with POTS and sleep disorders. Potsie0002
Do you remember the name of the sleep doctor on DFW? It takes so long to get appointments that I would like to get started with the process. Thank you!
