If I have issues that can't wait, I check in by phone, otherwise I see him in person every 3 months. In part that's because I'm still having a lot of issues and when I started seeing him a year ago, he thought I was " a long way from therapeutic" so he's making changes very slowly with all my meds etc.If you're somewhat stable or have a local doc that can do this for you, there may not be a big reason to go back there.
