lauralulu
I haven't had this for a while and had forgotten about it, I had it before I knew anything about POTS and now it has returned, I am wondering if it could be related to dysautonomia. Basically, if I've had to stand still for a prolonged period, my feet get tremendously, uncomfortably itchy, it feels similar to heat rash/the itch of a mosquito bite- all over my feet- a bit sort of hot and prickly. It's also very similar to the feeling I got once when I was holding a faulty video camera that was plugged into the mains and I was getting small electric shocks through the metal screws holding it together! Hot, tingly, itchy.I got it this weekend on a walk when we stopped to admire the view... it persisted as I got moving again but only for a short time, then passed- so it seems to be related to when I stand still/inactive. Noreen
I have that issue as well but have no idea if it is POTs related. The feeling can persist for me even after I have sat down especially in the balls, toes, and top for the prickling and the arches for itching. flop
Oooh - I get a tingly / itchy feet thing too! I had always blamed it on my feet being encased in compression stockings and MBT trainers though.Flop
Chaos
Had this yesterday after my TTT. My feet were freezing for several hours and then suddenly hot, prickly and itchy. Reminded me that I've had the same occurence sometimes after exercise and on the rare occasions that I drink alcohol I get the same feeling. ByteMe58
I've had the itchy, burning feet feeling during my tilt test, and even if i stand still too long, like brushing my teeth then shaving. If I don't keep my feet moving, i get blood pooling in my lower legs and feet. This may be what is happening to you. I can see the color change in my feet and even the veins balooning up over the surface. You mentioned it went away after walking, so that could be it.You could try marching in place or even just pumping the calf muscles to get the blood flowing and see if that helps.Frank
lauralulu
It's interesting, now I know about dysautonomia, how it can make sense of things that before were puzzling!
