This pain forces me to only wear open shoes (my Birks), rarely apply makeup because of burning of my face, but I'm really missing wearing my wedding rings. (I know a couple of our members are recently going through sad marital situations, and I'm so sorry ). I haven't worn my rings since 6/08 (when the pain really set in), except for a few hours on special occasions. And I miss wearing them. I've tried neurontin, lyrica, and take pain meds occasionally. I've been trying to force myself to wear just my engagement ring because it has smoother edges (my wedding band has scalloped, rough edges) but I can feel the heat trapped under the ring especially at night.Just another thing POTS has taken away . Perhaps if you used it as a hand cream under your rings, it would deaden the nerves enough for you to wear them to special occasions.
