Long shot because I know this was posted in 2013. How are you doing with this, what did you find out? I just started getting this EXACT feeling, I even explain it to my drs just like you did.
I've also been experiencing a feeling very similar to this. At first I thought there might be something wrong with my neck until I realized how many other symptoms of POTS I had.
