Hi. I did not know I had a message.  Recently we tried a trial of Carbidopa and my b/p went up to 170/130. My feet started swelling.  Ugh. I think I took Guanfacine and did not react well.  We are talking about IgG next.

My b/p and pulse pressures are all over the place.  After starting Carbidopa my b/p were 150/130.  I am waiting to hear from my neurologist what he wants me to do, if anything.  The nurse was like "what kind of pressure is that.  My PCP thought it was a malfunction until it kept happening.

I too have a crazy orthostatic hypertension.  I was 190/90 in the ER and they did nothing.  The felt that my feeling horrible was driving my pressure up; it eventually went down to 150/82 on its own.  My pulse is an average between 50-60.   At rest I will go to 110/76.  Then when I move about it bounces back up. On my beat to beat I did the same thing.  I started on Carbidopa last week and guess what, my b/p went up.  I have caught at 170/130.  I feel awful. As someone else stated, the elevations do not always correlate to my feeling horrible.  I also drop at night.  This all seems very cyclical.  Sometimes I am awakened by dizziness and my pressure is up.  What to do???????????????

I started Carbidopa 4 days ago and I am miserable.  I thought this drug was supposed to have minimal side effects.  Any one else get worse they got better on Carbidopa.
