  1. Hello Fainting Goat,

I'm new here as well. I know how frustrating it is just wanting that diagnosis and to be listened to and treated fairly by doctors rather than just being a "patient" or a "drug seeker". I can relate to the fainting problem, I actually fell out behind the wheel of my car and hit a telephone poll. I was in the hospital for 3 days, I was dehydrated, my bp was low (weird considering I am on bp meds), my thyroid levels were through the roof, they sent me a psychiatrist because I had ativan in my system (tachycardia) but never said this could have contributed. I am learning on this site so, hang in there and keep reaching out. You will get the support you need. Hope you feel better.

  2. Thank you all so very much. I am actually have a really hard time with this, knowing that my previous Drs knew this but did nothing. I had one actually say "I am baffled. I don't know what the **** is wrong with you." Rather than explain what's going on, I never would have put this all together on my own.
I will definitely check out the list and I have no luck, I will start a new thread. Again, thank you all for your help.

  3. I was told in 2008 that my bp rises with movement from a cardiologist and was put on BP meds. The older I get, so many different things have been going on with on with me that my every day life is getting effected. I don't go out, can't walk without my heart pounding and extreme sweating, hate heat LOVE cold, tremors, bowel problems, anxiety/fight or flight, hypothyroid and much more. 2 weeks, a visiting P.A. at my Dr office said I have Autonomic Dysfunction and to "Google it"! So I did, I found this site which is AMAZING to say the least. I no longer feel crazy or alone and want a REAL doctor that will take this seriously and can help me. I went Google Drs who handle Autonomic Dysfunction and I'm getting psychiatrists, Neurologist, Surgeons, Cardio.. Can someone give me some advice as to where to start first?

  4. I am finding these discussions more and more helpful with each one! Cala, I had no idea that the adrenaline was part of this too. This is the illness of many hats!

I was just telling someone that I hate not being able to do or say anything that may cause the slightest bit of a confrontation without the "fight or flight" tingles and trembling throughout my entire body. I pass out also (even crashed my car into a telephone poll) and sometimes I get so dazed I feel like I'm dreaming. WOW!

  5. Hello KareBear!

I mean this in the most loving way, I am so glad I am not alone! I am new here as well, looking for answers and this is a HUGE issue for me. I literally feel my body thermometer just does not work and having a full thyroidectomy in 08' didn't help. I either have the chills or I am sweating to death. I can't even go outside for long periods of time, hate walking because I sweat so bad, my hair gets drenched and I feel like I have no air around me and can't cool down, I even sweat in 20 degree weather! My kids say I can move to Alaska, cuddle with a penguin and still sweat.Or I'm so cold, I put on a blanket shivering and sweat again 5 minutes later. Between brain fog, palpitations, soreness in muscles, sweating etc.. I felt like I was insane! No one understands, family or friends. They say i need to exercise more, lose some weight maybe (impossible), I'm antisocial (i used to be a social butterfly) or just don't want to be bothered. They think its not possible for me to be as tired and weak as i say i an. Dr's think I'm insane! I would think they knew about this stuff or would have saw it in my paperwork? I was diagnosed as having Autonomic Dysfunction in 2008, was given BP meds and sent on my way, no explanation, and not one Dr went back to it since. I just found out the name 2 weeks ago! If I heard or read the word Fibromyalgia one more time, I was going to scream because I knew it was something else. I don't even know what my normal body temp is, but I do know that within the past 5-10 years, I never get a fever when I'm sick. I feel feverish, my skin feels hot to me but not others and the thermometers maybe go to a max of 99. That's pretty scary if fevers fight I infection and I am not getting fevers?

This has had such a negative impact on my life for so long but now, knowing I'm not alone, I feel like I have some hope. I will continue on here because at least someone understands. Thank you so much for your post :)

  6. Sorry, last one. . My brain fog makes me forget what I wanted to say sometimes. I just found out what the name is from a PA from my Dr office who said it nonchalantly while looking at my file.. I am so glad I found this forum, now I feel I have people who actually understand. Thanks for being patient with my multiple posts and responding :o)

  7. Hello,

I'm new on here and I found your thread so I registered to join in the conversation. Do you feel like you "forget to breathe" and it feels like you "HAVE to take a deep breath and kind of do it on your own?"

I get this feeling out of nowhere and it freaks me out. I have so many things that go on with me and I don't even know if it's all related. I get pins and needles in my hands, feet and even in my buttocks and my crotch area! I'm either sweating like I ran a marathon in 105 degree weather and feel like I have no air around me or I have the chills. I can't go near any kind of heat or I sweat and feel "out of it", I get horrible brain fog and people say they can literally see the color drain out of my face, I am so weak, I can't exercise, I can't walk up a flight of steps without my heart pounding, I have muscle pain and so much more. Problem is, I had a full thyroidectomy in 2008 so I'm hypothyroid and don't know which is causing the problem. Does anyone else get like this also?
