Starting chemo cycle 2 today and feeling very crummy. I think I'm gonna try and sleep this off.

I can definitely see that. This isn't the same as cancer, but I have OCD and PTSD, and I would get on forums for both of those issues. I struggled a lot because I could just see how everything was going wrong for everyone else, and not the good stuff that was going on. A lot of the time people go on to forums because they need support from other people who understand what they are going through. Its great that forums exist for that reason, but the downside to that is that it isn't ofte...

Propranolol day 5, resting heart rate is 76... I can't remember the last time my resting HR was in the 70s

I hope so. So far I seem to be doing fairly well. I don't have nearly as many horrible side effects as I did on the Coreg. My dad is on Coreg, and him and my step mom just didn't believe me when I told them that the coreg was causing me so many issues. Just goes to show how much variability there is in how our bodies respond to medications. Also, FYI this person has asked me about those natural medicines again because I mentioned about being propranolol and how much it seems to be hel...

I have a friend that just finished her final round of chemo and is just now starting raidiation. though I cannot understand what it feels like to be on chemo, as I wanted my friend go through I noticed that by the final couple cycles, the chemo had very little effect on her body. She wasn't having the same issues with nausea, exhaustion, etc. I cannot know how your body will respond to the chemo in general, especially not with POTS, but I do hope that you follow the same path. That the ch...

bad symptom day. nap time.

I lost my license because of the syncope (have to go 6 months without any syncopal episodes, somehow I don't see that happening). So the really sucky part is that I have to bus to and from my appointments, which takes ages. The bus route that I live on goes straight to my drs office, but it also takes about 100 other stops in between, so what is normally a 15 minutes drive is an hour long bus ride either direction.

Balancing POTS and college... POTS really doesn't like to share the spotlight.

My campus offers some "on campus classes" via the web, if that makes sense. So I started scheduling them the semester after I started fainting. Thankfully when it started I was on a semester long break from school. But its still kind of hard at managing my time to balance dr appointments, symptoms, lectures/exams/quizzes. Thanks for your kind words, sometimes I certainly don't feel like a tough cookie! Hope all is well with you!

Not sure what's causing what :/

the point of the forum is to bring people with the same problem together with others who understand. But that doesn't mean that you can't share other problems in your life. Most people don't just have one problem. But I definitely get the feeling as if you are lacking support. I hope that you can find help from people who you feel like you can share with, and feel support from!

sometimes people annoy me. I have a friend that is trying to draw me into one of these vitamin supplements that are suppose to cure all. Her appeal to me was to tell me that the body is suppose to be self regulating and heal itself, not dependent on medicine. I'm glad that it helps her, but sometimes, for some reason, the body fails to regulate itself and needs a little push.

there are so many people like that. Your story made me laugh though! Though it would be nice if everything were as easy as the thyroid! It's no worries, she isn't really adding that much stress, its just more frustrating than anything. If natural remedies work, great. But that doesn't mean it will work for everyone. lol, If I could take something like a natural herb and stop passing out, I'd be on that bandwagon so quick!
