  1. Yes, the Midodrine should work right away and peak at about 4 hours. It is a short acting drug. That is why you should take it during the day, but not before bed. Your Doctor might need to up your dosage. They played with mine for awhile. How much are you taking now?

  2. I have been diagnosed with POTS for about a year and something new is going on. Have any of you guys ever passed out due to high blood pressure instead of low? On New Years eve my BP was 172/116. I am a prestty petite person and I just went out at work while sitting down. My doctor thinks this is odd and I have an MRI tommorow. Just wondering if this is common in other POTS sufferers.

  3. Well, I can tell you that when I have blood pressure or HR changes I do have some mild visual disturbances. But, nothing really of that nature. It might possibly the side effects of a med you have started of have even been taking for awhile. They can show up at anytime. I almost lost my vision the other day due to low BP. It was scary enough.

  4. My doctor told me that occasinally people do have negative tests and still have the disorder. But your test sure sounds a little postivie to me too. I would definatley get copies of your test results and consult with another doctor. Insurance probably won't pay for the test again so get copies of everything. On the other hand, I have found that anti anxiety meds and anti depressants are very helpful in treatment also. It seems like the drugs are almost standard treament since stress is a major trigger. I hope you are able to find another physician. You may have to take a road trip to a real clinic to get some good help.

  5. Hello there all. I am new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself. It is great to finally find a group of people who understand you and don't think you are insane. My husband's understanding can only go so far. So thank you all.
