  1. Does anyone take Provigil 100 mg QD? I have made contact with a 26 year old female in NC who takes this along with Celexa for her POTS and is doing very well with these meds. She indicated that this is a new combination of drugs for treatment of POTS. Provigil is used to treat narcolepsy. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and what their results were? Kel
  2. Went to see internest today in my area who has another POTS patient and has had POTS patients in the past. She is starting me on 1 mg Florinef and changing to taking lopressor one time a day at bed time 12.5 mg. Having blood work done weekly to monitor side-effects of Florinef. Hopefully we will be able to adjust these medications along with lots of fluid and salt and I will be back to feeling like myself again. I'm not going to give up until we find out what works for me.
  3. Has any one ever had an appointment with Dr Grubb's assistance - I think her name is Bev or Beth. If so do you thinks she is has good as Dr Grubb - I would think that she would be able to confer with him. Does any one know how long does it take to get an appt with assistant? Going to Interest on Tuesday may ask for a referrral. Kel

Does anyone have any comments on this - maybe dosage of lopressor is too high? Going to Internest on Tues. hopefully she will have some answers to my questions and the right treatment. 5. Nurses at Dr's office have indicated that 1/3 of POTS patients get over their symptoms and they never reoccur 1/3 symptoms get better and 1/3 seem to stay the same or get worse. Would like to know if any one agrees with this. I am hoping and praying and trying to stay positive that I will be the 1/3 the gets over POTS just don't know how long this will take. My symptoms are fatigue, brain fog and internal thermostat broke. Taking lots of fluid, salt, B-12, copper, levsin, lopressor and remeron.
  6. Just started taking .125 mg of lopressor twice a day with levsin 3 times per day. Seems to be helping with fatigue - still have brain fog, hope that will get better. I am confident that I am going to beat this stuff and get back to normal. According to Fouad nurses 1/3 get over POTS, 1/3 have improved symptoms and 1/3 continue to struggle with POTS. Going to phy tomorrow to review those meds currently taking 30 mg Lexapro daily and remeron at night for sleep. Having some small headache each afternoon and evening - wondering what is the best headache med for POTs patiences? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Kel
  7. I have recently been Dx with POTS. I have a low HR when resting however when on TTT went to 70 degrees BP dropped and HR went up. The only medication I have been given for the pots is Levsin 3 times per day. I actually think I feel worse since I have been taking it. My symptoms are brain fog - cognitive troubles and extreme fatique. I am trying very hard to increase salt and fluids (water and Gatorade). I am very depressed taking 30 mg of Lexapro and 7.5 mg of Remeron to sleep at night. Have not worked since first of April - I am a staff accountant at an international corporation. I am affraid I will never go back to work. I am 42 years old married and we have a 15 year old daughter. I so badly want my life back
