  1. That is great that you could go for so long! My husband got me a tricycle- like the ones that little kids ride only grown up size- at the bike shop and he goes out for little tiny rides with me. It is nice because I don't have to try to go fast enough to balance the bike and when I get tired I just stop pedaling and sit on the seat without having to worry about holding the bike up because it has three wheels. I can't go out very often or very long yet, but I can work on it slowly. Best of all you get lots of smiles when you ride a big tricycle and no one expects you to go fast!
  2. My anxiety and POTS get kind of mixed together, so I don't know exactly how to differentiate. I feel like my anxiety symptoms can just happen anytime whereas my POTS happens when I am upright (sitting or standing) and get worse the longer I stay in that position. The POTS symptoms are also especially bad for a long time after I try to push through them. Also I get a lot of visual stuff with the POTS (sparkles, dark spots, color bleeds, etc), but not with the anxiety. I am not well enough to do stuff my myself, especially drive, so the anxiety really is not keeping me from doing anything because I can't anyway. Oh well, I don't know if any of that helped at all, maybe someone else will have something more specific.
  3. I am not able to watch television or movies very much, but I have been getting some anxiety/panic attacks. I have not noticed what they follow, though. I will try to pay attention and see if they follow something like that. Interesting. Charmin
  4. My name is Charmin and I am 28 and I live in Alaska. I passed out in the shower a year and a few months ago and have been struggling with POTS ever since. I have lot of trouble concentrating, so I have to keep this short and I can't read complicated stuff for very long so I won't be able to look through old posts easily. I am having a lot of trouble eating. I not only don't feel hungry very often, eating often makes me ill. Most of the time the smell of food turns my stomach unless it is something very mild, like a brothy soup. I am pretty much living on ramen and cheez-its. I can't take multivitamins because they violently upset my stomach, so I know I am not getting things I need. Has anyone else encountered this? What have you done to counteract these problems? In your responses please avoid as much medical jargon as possible, as I have trouble even processing regular English. Thanks!
