  1. Hi-- I just wanted to add my 2 cents here-- I also have had vision problems, and everything checked out fine for years. But then a couple of years ago at an annual eye exam I could not read the chart with my contacts in, and the optometrist noticed that my pupils were not behaving properly. He measured their diameters in the darkened room and in the light. Apparently they do not contract quite enough in dim light, and while everyone's pupils are unequal moment-to-moment, mine were staying excessively unequal. The Dr. suggested that pupil constriction and vasoconstriction are related, so if you have problems with your blood vessels not constricting properly, your pupils might also be affected. When I've been standing a lot or walking, or just at night, I can look in the mirror and my left pupil is way bigger than the right-- it also explains why for years people have been asking me if my eyes are different colors or something (they're not). I had walked across campus to that eye exam appointment, and I think that's why the problem finally got noticed. Anyway, that all seems to account for my blurry vision and difficulty with nighttime driving. These problems have improved as the rest of my symptoms have (long-term florinef, etc. for POTS). Good luck with everything-- I hope you figure things out! --Kathy
